Louro Mountain

The Louro Mountain Trail, part of the Terra Una Trails, consists of a horse ride that lasts for approximately 7 hours. The starting point is at the Quinta de S. Brás, in the Louro Mountain (“Serra do Louro”) in Palmela, and after crossing the Alcube valley, lunch is at a farm with the same name, Quinta de Alcube. The horse trails always take place in the Natural Park of Arrabida, in its eastern area. The price for the day – for riding through Louro Mountain and the Alcube Valley –  is only 75€, which includes the light lunch in Quinta de Alcube that is accompanied by its excellent wines.

Arrábida Weekend

Do you want to escape for a weekend of galloping on the beach? The Arrábida Weekend Trail is the ideal horseback adventure for a long weekend break. It starts on Thursday and finishes on Sunday. Immerse yourself in rich and diversified natural beauty by riding on an Atlantic beach and through mountains with Mediterranean vegetation. For your well-deserved rest you can enjoy the charming and high quality historic hotel of the Castle of Palmela. This horse trail takes place in protected areas, close to Lisbon, to the South.

Price: 570€ / person (in a double/twin bedroom ; transfers not included)

Expected date: every week, except from 4th August to 28th August (high bathing season, horse riding is forbidden on the beach)

Atlantic Dolphin Bay

The Atlantic Dolphin Bay Trail runs for a week, corresponding to 7 nights and 6.5 days on horseback. You ride through the bay starting 25km Southern Lisbon, from Arrabida Nature Park to St. André Lagoon Nature Reserve, traversing mountains with cork oak trees, inhabited villages and deserted beaches. The accommodation is in historic castle hotels and in rural tourism lodging.
